It takes a village!

Since creating RLI last February, I have learnt something new every day.

I have learnt that starting a business is equal parts thrilling and terrifying! I have learnt that every little victory makes you feel as if you are on top of the world, and that every mistake you make brings in some new, painfully acquired knowledge. I have also learnt that many of the pre-conceptions I had before leaving my corporate job do not necessarily apply. But most of all, I have learnt that it takes a village to support you along this crazy ride called entrepreneurship, both psychologically and in many more practical ways.

So the idea came about of creating this series of interviews, called "Mondays." The key concept behind it is to try to make entrepreneurship a little more approachable, by showcasing a group of people who have successfully followed their passion and created their own path in life. The series will focus on the early-years in their businesses, giving a behind-the-scenes look at their motivations, initial challenges as well as their greatest achievements to date.

These are some of the people who make up my village and some of whom I have recently met along this journey. These are the people who support me and inspire me every day, and from whom I have already learnt plenty.

I hope they will inspire you as well to finally make that change, take that chance or, more simply, help you get through your most challenging Mondays.
